| What's
it all About? |
The
Npros Virtual Futures Market is a game. We take a list
of all MLM, Network Marketing, Direct Sales and other
Home-Based Businesses and allow everyone on the internet
a chance to buy, sell or short virtual "stock"
in these companies.
|
| What's
the Point of the Game |
The
point is first, to have fun, and second, to see how our
virtual market responds to actual real-world events as
a forecast of future success or failure of a given company.
We will also be offering prizes to the best performing
portfolios, which gives players an incentive to make savvy
trades and not attempt to artificially inflate or depreciate
any company's virtual stock value.
|
| |
| What
Effects a Market Price for a Company |
| A
company's price on the virtual market is purely related
to buying and selling behavior of players. News events
will also effect value, but only when that news is related
to a company closure. |
| |
| Why
can't we trade with real money? |
Due
to various securities regulations, it's not possible
for us to offer a market using real money. If you would
like to trade with money (and if you qualify to do so)
you might try the University of Iowa's Iowa Electronic
Markets project. It gives players an opportunity to
use real money to invest in presidential election futures. |
| |
Can't
supporters of a particular company manipulate this market
by pushing up the share price of their company? |
| This
could occur, but most likely only for a short period of
time. The more people who participate, the less likely
any one group will have an affect on this game. A player
might place a buy order for a large market price (within
the limits of their virtual account) but the next normal
trade should return the value of the stock to a more reasonable
and market driven level. |
| |
| My
Company Isn't Listed. Why Not? |
| If
you don't see your company here, and it is an MLM, Network
Marketing, Direct Sales or related Home-Based Business
Opportunity, please visit Npros.com
and submit a request to have the company added to the
home-based business database. It should appear on the
NprosMarket.com page shortly thereafter as an "IPO". |
| |
Can
I add more money to my account? |
| Sorry,
no. To keep the system simple and straightforward, we've
made it so that the only way for players to add money
to their accounts is by taking profits from transactions
within the market itself. |
| |
| Can
I contact someone for questions or support? |
| The
Npros Virtual Futures Market is a free game. All rules
are and information is listed online. |
| |
I
lost my password. Can you tell me what it is? |
| You'll
have to reset your password. Go to our "forgot my
password" page and enter your email address. An email
will be sent to you to confirm that you're changing your
password. Follow the link in the email that's sent to
you to change your password. |
| |
My
account is frozen and I get a message saying it's being
investigated. What do I do?
|
| We
will send you email explaining why your account is frozen.
The usual reason an account is frozen is if we determine
an effort is being made to cheat, or manipulate the market
through use of multiple accounts. |
